The 2009 NANUC NMR BootCamp is a satellite meeting to the 5th Annual Conference of the Metabolomic Society in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Our theme this year is “The Application of Novel NMR Techniques to the field of Metabolomics”. The use of NMR in the growing field of metabolomics is delivering a wealth of information and new techniques in data acquisition and processing are evolving rapidly.

This year’s NMR BootCamp will highlight some of the latest developments in methodology as well as a review of the techniques and methods that are proven to work for NMR studies in metabolomics. NMR sample preparation, solvent suppression and the latest in high throughput robotic automation will be described and demonstrated. As well, techniques such as statistical total correlation spectroscopy (STOCSY) and patten recognition in NMR as well as the use of heteronuclear NMR for unravelling complex mixtures will be featured.

The NANUC NMRBootCamp is a key supplement to metabolomic researchers using NMR as an essential experimental tool. Internationally recognized leaders in the application of NMR in metabolomics as well as local NMR experts will provide comprehensive seminars in the intimate NMR BootCamp setting. This promises to be a special event that will be especially conducive to a better practical understanding of NMR and metabolomics. The NANUC NMR BootCamp runs Friday and Saturday, August 28 and 29th.

Please note that registration for the NMR BootCamp is separate from the Metabolomic Society Conference.
